Snakes for sale will be listed on this page first before they are placed on Internet boards like MorphMarket or Fauna Classifieds. That gives priority to loyal and repeat customers over buyers in the general marketplace. If you want to get your top choices, visit this page often when hatching season arrives in late summer and fall.

First-Come, First-Served
After years of keeping interest lists, taking deposits, etc. on both snakes and the livestock I raise, I have seen the downsides of that approach - turning away customers with money in hand in favor of people who may have signed up months ago on a whim and are now no longer interested. Therefore:

Liberty Leonis is strictly first-come, first-served once snakes are available.

Please keep in mind that multiple people usually inquire about each hatchling before someone steps up and pays for it. I will be responsive to your questions, but remember that someone else may pay for the animal while you are still trying to decide. Inquiring about an animal does not lay claim to it. Paying for it does.

Finding Our Available Snakes
As snakes hatch and shed, you will find them listed on this page. A price will be posted once a hatchling is established, feeding, sexed, and otherwise ready to go to their new home. At that point the snake is for sale for the price listed and the first customer to pay for the animal is the one who will get it. We will list snakes for sale here on our website first, but after a few weeks we also list animals on other forums - MorphMarket, Fauna Classifieds, etc. 

Do You Accept Deposits?
Short answer - no. We aren't selling $1,000+ snakes here. Leonis are relatively inexpensive animals - especially compared to the housing, feeders, and equipment cost needed to maintain any snake. Basically, if you can't afford the modest cost of a kingsnake I know you can't afford to care for it well.  For that reason, we do not accept deposits or payment plans. The first customer to pay in full will be sold the animal. I may be willing to make payment plans and accommodations for a customer wanting to purchase several animals.

What Payments Do You Accept?
Payments can be made through PayPal, Venmo, or Square. For PayPal, please use Friends & Family or add 3% to cover the fees that go to PayPal if you select "Goods & Services." For Square, plan on adding 2% to cover their fees.  We will provide payment details once you have contacted us via text or email about purchasing the animal. Animals will never be shipped before paid for in full. We may also wait for favorable weather conditions before shipping your animals because their safety is our foremost concern.

Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are the actual amount charged by Ship Your Reptiles and payment must be made before your snake is shipped to you.  You will need to provide your ZIP code for an accurate shipping quote. 

All Sales are Final
Once you pay for the animal, it is non-refundable unless there has been a sexing error on my part or the live arrival guarantee is in effect. Under those 2 conditions only would you be eligible for a refund or replacement.

Will You Hold My Animals For Me?
Absolutely! As long as they are paid for in full, they can stay at my place and will be cared for as if they were my own. In fact, there may be times I insist your purchase stays here until it is safe to ship - especially during winter storms, Christmas holidays, and summer heat waves. I will be clear with you about shipping windows and my potential need to hold your animals, please be clear with me about your time frames for safely receiving your new purchase. If you need an animal held, then you can pay for the animal in full first and then pay for the shipping once you are ready to receive the animal or the weather cooperates for us.

The following is provided to ensure a positive buying experience. We want you to be our customer for many years and we always want to do what's right. We produce quality animals and stand behind them. We are always ready to provide support after the sale because we love the animals and this hobby.

Health
Animals we sell are guaranteed to be outwardly healthy and feeding voluntarily on unscented live or frozen/thawed rodents. Complete records will be provided with every purchase including feeding and shedding, lineage, and images of the sire and dam.

Sexing Policy
When a hemipene pops out, it's a male. When a hemipene doesn't come out, I repeat the sexing multiple times over a few weeks. I want to know the sex of the snakes too - potential holdbacks are at stake! I almost always get it right. Very occasionally, I do make a mistake. So within 7 days of receiving your kingsnakes, I invite you to have your animals re-sexed by someone qualified (a vet or an experienced keeper). If it is determined that I made a mistake, then upon the snake's safe return and re-examination, I will refund the entire purchase price or replace the animal (at buyer's discretion) plus the return shipping back to me. After you have had the snake for 7 days, it is your snake regardless of a potential sexing mistake. Please check!

Shipping Times
Shipping reptiles requires favorable weather. I will hold your animals until I feel it is safe to ship. Please remember that the weather at your location may differ significantly from the weather here and at the hubs along the way. Additionally, customers should be aware that I live 1.5 hours (one-way, 3 hours round-trip) from the nearest FedEx location. I cannot just ship your animal any old day you'd like. I will ship your animal just as soon as I can.

Live Arrival
Live arrival is guaranteed as long as the animal is shipped to a FedEx hub for pickup and is picked up within 3 hours of arrival. If you choose to ship to your home or business, live arrival is highly likely, but not guaranteed.

If you shipped to the FedEx hub and picked it up promptly but the animal is dead-on-arrival, then you should immediately take a video and contact me. If I verify that your animal arrived dead, then I will refund the full purchase price or replace the animal (at buyer's discretion).

We Will Not Ship:
1) If the temperature at our location, any way points, or the final destination is above 90F or below 40F.
2) On Thursdays or Fridays, to decrease the risk of a delay lasting through the weekend.
3) If you have not paid in full for the snakes and the shipping costs.
4) Without confirming the shipping date with you first.
